My name is Alivia I'm 21 years old and 2 and a half years ago I married my best friend on June 18th,2012 my Husband Michael is 24. I was just a freshman in high school when we met and 2 years later when he graduated he joined the army it was during this time that I learned I had ENDOMETRIOSIS I had just turned 17 and I had been dealing with trama related PTSD, severe anxiety and depression and on top of that I was headed down a long road of surgeries, pain and some pretty big life changes. At first I spent most of my nights in the Emergency Room and getting shuffled around from specialist to specialist being told that we have "no idea whats causing your pain" After months of testing and running from doctor to doctor I got my diagnosis September 20th,2010 I had surgery to remove my gallbladder and Endo was discovered at the same time, I had no idea what Endo was nor had I ever heard of it. I had no idea how much it would really affect my life. Before I was diagnosed I had 2 miscarriages I was only 16 at the time but the sadness of the loss didn't affect me any less. Here I am today 5 years and 5 surgeries and several miscarriages, and many attempts at failed treatments later. I have stage 3 Endo I never imagined my life would be this hard but I've learned that you cant let an illness stop you from what you really want in life. Life isn't easy by any means but all I've ever wanted was to have a family and be a mom and Endo isn't going to stop me. Thank you for listening to my story <3
